About Lancer

Lancer Skincare Review

When you’re young, you never think it’s going to happen to you but one day you wake up, and bam, you’ve aged. It’s inevitable, and while I’m all for making peace with my wrinkles, if I can lessen their appearance, you better believe I’m going to try.

Lancer helps you achieve the results you want with their line of carefully researched anti-aging skincare products. If you’ve been around the skincare scene for a while, you’ve probably heard of The Lancer Method—a three step exfoliation, cleansing, and moisturizing process—but the brand sells potent serums, facial and body treatments too.

It’s a pretty popular line, featured in notable media outlets like People, Women’s Health, and Forbes with a social community of 210k+. Is it really worth the attention? In this Lancer Skincare review, I intend to find out.

Here, I’ll take a close look at the brand and its best-selling products, along with customer feedback, discounts, and more to help you decide if this high-powered skincare is worth the buy.

Overview of Lancer

The Lancer Method was created in 1985, after Dr Harold Lancer, a dermatologist and fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology, opened his practice in Beverly Hills.

Used by many of his patients, Lancer skincare has been proven to solve common problems such as redness, fine lines, dark circles, crepiness, collagen loss, and more.

While many dermatologists and gurus market “alteration” as a solution, this company believes that restoration is the way forward. I much prefer the sound of that. Formulated for all skin types, their products show customers results through accelerating the skin regenerative cycle. Sounds intimidating, but really, it’s just about speeding up the rate at which new, fresh skin cells appear.

Over the last 40 years, Dr Lancer became one of the most well-known dermatologists in the world, with his services in high demand. His established practice treats over 30 patients a day, including royals and celebrities such as Ellen de Generes and Ryan Seacrest.

Up next in this Lancer skincare review, I’ll fill you in on some pros and cons of the Beverly Hills based brand.

Lancer Products Review

Let’s get to the goods of Lancer skincare review. Just ahead, I’ll feature some of the brand’s bestsellers—including their tried-and-true kit, intense facial serums, and firming body creams. These products are designed for all types of skin and target many different needs. Keep reading for the full scoop.

Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel Review

I know the difference between a quick face wash and a deep cleanse. The first is great for getting rid of surface dirt and makeup, but it doesn’t reach deep into pores or slough off the dead cells that leave your complexion looking dull.

The Caviar Lime Acid Peel uses caviar lime extract to exfoliate your skin and add some life back into your look. Ever heard of glowing skin? That’s what Lancer is going for here.

With the help of glycolic acid, the Caviar Lime Acid Peel brightens your skin from the inside out. Phytic acid, papaya and pineapple enzymes give you a smooth and even skin tone, while retinol minimizes fine lines and wrinkles.

Refresh your skin with the Caviar Lime Acid Peel for $95. After reading up on this peel for my Lancer skincare review, I recommend saving it for weekends.

Note: If you feel a little tingle after applying, it’s a sign that the enzymes are working their magic. It should never burn though.

Lancer Eye Contouring Lifting Cream Review

My eyes are what I struggle with most these days. With a multi-targeted approach, the Eye Contouring Lifting Cream harnesses the power of natural ingredients like alfalfa seed extract, winged kelp, and caffeine. This blend efficiently improves the appearance, tone, and texture of the skin around your eyes.

It works to decrease puffiness, reduce dark circles, and improve skin’s elasticity. With diamond powder as the finishing touch (how fancy?) the Eye Contouring Lifting Cream brightens and adds a sparkle to your eyes.

Gently dab it on using your ring finger or pinkie, reapplying morning and night. Make sure to avoid patting it on too close to your eyes though, because it will travel. This Lancer eye cream rings in at $95

Lancer Omega Hydrating Oil Review

Winter has ended, but summer brings with it a unique set of problems. Lightweight and fast absorbing, the Omega Hydrating Oil nourishes and quenches dry skin for a dewy, fresh appearance.

My skin tends to feel pinchy in the summer and quite dry, so I think this oil sounds like heaven.

Made with 10% Ferment Complex (a blend of fermented argan, olive, shiunko, and licorice), this oil is packed with omega fatty acids to repair skin’s surface, and protect it from environmental stressors. The addition of turmeric works to calm redness and gives skin a brighter glow.

I’ve learned that a little goes a long way! You only need a few drops of this solution to spread along your face, neck, and décolletage. The Omega Hydrating Oil by Lancer comes to $80.

Lancer Ultra Hydrating Serum Review

Dr. Harold Lancer says that the key to possessing more youthful and radiant-looking skin is hydration. The Ultra Hydrating Serum uses key ingredients like olive extract and Ceramide Complex to minimize the appearance and wrinkles and inflammation.

7 Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid ensures skin stays hydrated for 24 hours while Disodium Acetyl Glucosamine Phosphate smooths and strengthens for plumper skin that glows.

In a clinical study, after 4 weeks, 100% of participants showed improvement in fine lines and wrinkles, while the same percentage showed an improvement in skin moisture immediately upon application. For fast, visible results, pick up a 1 oz bottle of the Ultra Hydrating Serum for $95.

Lancer Lash Serum Intense Review

Long, luscious eyelashes are every girl’s dream—including mine. Just look at the multitude of mascaras that promise a thick, long fringe. The Lash Serum Intense helps yours grow and thicken gradually, with ingredients like rich pumpkin seed extract, biotin, and panthenol.

Opthamalogist tested and safe for contact wearers, the Lash Serum Intense also conditions and softens your lashes for a healthier look. Strip the layers of makeup and opt for the Lash Serum Intense instead, $150 at checkout.

Lancer Advanced C Radiance Treatment Review

Vitamin C has a reputation for boosting our immune system. When it comes to skin, this antioxidant offers the same protective qualities; helping to brighten dark spots and minimize the appearance of fine lines.

I use vitamin C-packed skincare daily and am really pleased with the results. I’ve definitely noticed a brighter complexion since starting.

The Advanced C Radiance Treatment uses 10% vitamin C and retinol to give your complexion an attractive, energetic glow. Shea butter gives you a more supple and rested appearance, and, who doesn’t want that? This luxurious, vitamin-packed, waterless cream is $90

Lancer Active Rejuvenation Serum Review

If you’re looking for an intense serum that does it all, I suggest checking out the Active Rejuvenation Serum. It contains the Dermal Matrix Complex, an anti-aging complex filled with amino acids that creates invisible bonds on the skin—plumping up and firming delicate areas for an improved complexion.

Right after cleansing, massage a couple drops straight onto your face, neck, and décolletage. In a research study conducted by Lancer, 100% of participants noticed a visible difference after 4 weeks of use, and 91% reported shrunken pores. Those are pretty great results if you ask me.

If your forehead has started to show worry lines, don’t stress and pick up the powerful Active Rejuvenation Serum for $150

Lancer The Method: Body Nourish Review

We all need an indulgent bath sometimes. I love doing it up right with candles, bubbles, and a glass of wine. But when I finally emerge from the tub, my skin feels incredibly dry.

The Method: Body Nourish uses shea butter, watermelon seed oil, Kigali fruit extract, and marula oil to replenish and keep hydration locked in after a long soak. Additionally, it is formulated with 10% glycolic acid and peptides to firm and sculpt skin for a toned look—just in time for that little summer dress.

Give your body some love with The Method: Body Nourish, sold for $75. Just make sure not to have any open knicks and razor burns on your legs when you apply it.

Lancer The Method: Normal-Combination Skin Review

Finding a skincare routine that works can be a trial and error process. I like that Lancer packages up its famed 3-step regimen into a convenient little pack.

Dr Lancer’s widely popular method of Polish, Cleanse, Nourish helps cells regenerate faster, and bestows skin with essential nutrients that it needs. In turn, it also promotes healthy collagen production and a glowing appearance. The Method: Normal-Combination Skin kit includes:

  • Lancer The Method Polish Normal-Combination

This Lancer Skincare foil polish is made with quartz crystals, pumpkin enzyme, and pomegranate enzymes to gently exfoliate. It prepares your skin for the next steps.

  • The Method: Cleanse Normal-Combination

The coveted Lancer face wash uses rice protein, aloe extract, and salicylic acid to wash away dirt and impurities while moisturizing and softening skin.

  • The Method: Nourish Normal-Combination

This cream has peptides, hyaluronic acid, and avocado and olive oil to firm, lift, and plump skin. After this final step, you’re ready to take on the day.

The Method: Normal-Combination Skin kit comes to $270 in total. Want to try before you commit? Opt for the Intro Kit for $75.

Lancer Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Lancer Skincare Review

For this part of my Lancer skincare review, I searched the web to find out what customers were saying about the brand’s bestsellers. You’ll find feedback sourced from their official website, Nordstrom, and Sephora which discuss where Lancer products shine. Let’s start with a few ratings from lancerskincare.com:

  • The Method: Normal-Combination Skin: 5/5 stars, 104 reviews
  • Active Rejuvenation Serum: 5/5 stars, 117 reviews
  • Body Nourish: 5/5 stars, 88 reviews
  • Advanced C Radiance Treatment: 5/5 stars, 150 reviews

Of The Method, customers spoke about the positive effects it had on their skin—including a reduced appearance of wrinkles, and increased softness. One user shared:

Have been using the method now for 6 months, what a difference in my skin, it is super soft and plump.”

Since pretty much all of the brand’s best-sellers are rated 5/5 stars on its website, I headed over to Nordstrom to see if they held up.

The Eye Contour Lifting Cream is rated 4.2/5 stars by 29 customers on Nordstrom. Satisfied customers write that this eye cream truly does work to reduce wrinkles and lighten dark spots. One positive testimonial read, “I use it every day in the morning and I have noticed a considerable difference around my eyes.”

The main issue about this product is the price. While it works its magic, customers think it is just too expensive, and are hesitant about purchasing again—even though they love it. One buyer confessed, “I’m a Lancer fan, he has great products. However, this eye cream is pricey for the amount you get.”

The Advanced C Radiance Treatment is rated 4.1/5 stars by 25 Lancer Skincare Sephora customers. They’re extremely enthusiastic in their reviews too, proclaiming this product is “worth it!”

One happy buyer raved, “The most transformative skincare product I have purchased in years…Saw changes in my skin so quickly with this product – dark spots faded, skin tone evened out…and the GLOW.”

There are some customers for whom this product just didn’t mesh well with. No matter which skincare brand I’m reviewing, I’ve come to understand that there’s no one-formula-fits-all product. There are bound to be a few users who it does work for, but the important part is that it works for the majority of people who try it.

Is Lancer Worth It?

Lancer Skincare Review

Lancer has some pretty stellar reviews. People who buy it love it and after everything I’ve come across for this Lancer skincare review, I believe their dermatologist-developed creams and serums are worth checking out.

Though some of their products are expensive, not all of them are out of the realm of ordinary for effective, luxury skincare.

Is Dr Lancer skincare good? From the feedback I read on the brand’s website, some external sources, and customer reviews, I’m inclined to say yes. Their products are made from powerful ingredients and contain special complexes, as well as natural compounds that seem to actually work.

I didn’t come across many comments that proved otherwise during this Lancer skincare review. The main complaints were essentially debating the quantity for price—the formulas appear to be really effective.

With the price in mind, you might also be wondering, is The Lancer Method worth it? Considering the Dr Lancer dermatologist clients list is filled with names such as Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez, I believe he must be doing something right.

If you’re curious about trying out a product, but don’t want to commit to a full-size jar or tube, you can request a sample or go for one of their intro kits.

The brand also has other perks such as free ground shipping, deals, and a 30-day money back guarantee. Verdict of this Lancer skincare review? Their products are worth the buy.

Yes, Dr Lancer uses medical-grade ingredients in the formulation of the brand’s skincare. This is one driving force behind the effectiveness of their products.
